Session recording choices
Wonderful Dental uses Herd to see how offices move through our store, so we can make ordering quicker and clearer. Herd records pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and what is in the bag (products, pack quantities and totals), plus the browser and device type, screen size, and the network address (IP) the visit comes from with its approximate location (country, region and city).
What is never recorded
- Anything typed into a form: names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, notes and searches are masked in the browser before anything is sent, and masked again by Herd's server.
- Passwords and payment details.
- Support chat conversations.
- Checkout, account, order-status and contact pages.
When an office places an order, Herd receives the order number, its total, the products and quantities, and whether it is that office's first order. It never receives a name, email, phone number, address or payment details.
How long it is kept
Session replays are kept for one or seven days, depending on the current setting, unless a replay is saved for review. Anonymous visit totals (for example how long it took to add to the bag) and order totals are kept for up to 400 days. Recordings are only visible to the Wonderful Dental team in Herd's private dashboard.
Your choices
Herd follows your browser's Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track settings and the cookie choice you make on our store. A random identifier stored in this browser lets Herd recognise return visits on this site; it does not follow you to other sites, browsers or devices, and turning recording off removes it.
